I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist working with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues. I help clients develop inner strength, centeredness, and personal empowerment as they face relationship issues, professional issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief & loss, separation and divorce, serious illness, and other life transitions.

While we know that emotions have no timeline, I am focused on helping you in identifying goals and working consistently towards them. At the same time, I am empathic and creative, and am invested in attuning myself to your needs. My perspective is multicultural, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQPIA+ affirming.

Along with talk therapy, I offer and extensively use other modalities, especially yoga, Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (placed by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense in the "A" category as “strongly recommended” for the treatment of trauma). For more information on these modalities, click here.

In addition to being a therapist in private practice, I have been a counselor in other settings ranging from a college health center to a hospice, have led and continue to lead trainings on a variety of topics, have been a yoga instructor for 20 years, and was a professor for 14 years.  Although born on the East Coast, I consider myself a Southern Californian, and I have lived in San Diego since 2001.
